I believe that each of us has a purpose in life. I have known for a long time that my purpose surrounded health, healing and empowering others, but the road to my purpose didn’t crystallize for me until I completed a year and half of breast cancer treatments. I survived a lumpectomy, Chemotherapy, a bilateral mastectomy, several reconstructive surgeries and hormone therapy, and for that I’m grateful. However, I was not the same person when I finished cancer treatment that I was when I began. I was 40lbs heavier, in pain, tired, an insomniac and desperate to find my way back to feeling healthy and strong again.
My road back to feeling, and thinking healthy was long, frustrating and filled with dead ends. Through that journey, however, I realized that there are thousands of other women out there looking for the support and understanding they need to recover from living through breast cancer treatment. I knew that offering my support, and bringing these women together was where I needed to apply my expertise as a Breast Cancer Recovery Coach, and an Integrated Wellness Profession. The doctors that I turned to for support just didn’t “get it”. If some study hadn’t yet proven that what I was experiencing was the result of cancer treatment, then it just wasn’t real, but I knew it was real. It was real for me and it’s real for you.
I knew I could help women feel better and find ways to work around the changes their bodies had gone through, and are still going through because I figured out how to do it for myself. In addition to offering one on one coaching, I am creating REVIVIFY, a completely online, membership program, because I know how costly cancer treatment is and I want EVERY woman to be able to afford a well-structured wellness program and to have access to a professional, and a group of like-minded people minded women where they can feel safe, get their questions answered and know that they are not alone on the road to recovery.
I am passionate about health, fitness, whole foods and fun. I believe in living life to its fullest, and I am committed to empowering other women to find their way back to health, and to a joyful life.
I believe that not just food or exercise, but your entire lifestyle should be the medicine that allows you to be well.
